Admin & IT Officer

Role

This role will be integral to the internal workings of Glasgow Community Food Network (GCFN) and a core support for our Food & Climate Action project team.

The 10 hours a week equates to £8,502 per year with an annual 3% salary increase built into each year of project funding.

We support flexible working arrangements and are open to discussion on work patterns. We support home working but expect the successful applicant to be available for meetings in Glasgow and they will have access to our office space in Kinning Park Complex.

Interviews will ideally be held on Wednesday 3rd of May.

Role & responsibilities

Internal communication

  • Monitoring of the Glasgow Community Food Network general email inbox, directing requests to the relevant staff members and following up on enquiries
  • Improve efficiency of ways of working, liaising regularly with our communications, finance and project team members
  • Take minutes at GCFN board meetings

Data entry

  • Leading on different types of data entry, in collaboration with other team members, including but not limited to:
  • Entering new contacts into MailChimp
  • Processing new GCFN member sign ups via the website
  • Ensuring the GDPR compliance of all data collected by GCFN including things like photo consent forms and supporting team processes
  • Monitoring equipment held by GCFN

IT support

  • Supporting team with IT requests related to computers, office equipment, relevant software packages and filing

Essential criteria

1. A passion for processes and organisation

2. Experience and comfort at an administrator level with a variety of IT softwares and programmes

3. Experience supporting team members with issues relating to data management, admin or IT

4. Experience of cross-team collaboration and fielding enquiries

5. A strong working knowledge of data management best practice

6. Belief in the values and aims of Glasgow Community Food Network

Desirable criteria

1. Experience of working with Craft CMS websites

2. Knowledge of cyber security best practice
