At Children 1st our vision is that children in Scotland will be safer, will grow up in strong, resilient families and will have access to early help and support when they need it. They will have their rights protected in all areas of their lives. Prevention of harm to children, stronger, more resilient families and communities, greater respect for children’s rights and strong partnerships and community engagement will be our measure of success.

This is an exciting time for fundraising at Children 1st. In 2019 we launched our fundraising strategy which is designed to inspire people in Scotland to put children first. Since then, despite the pandemic, we’ve successfully grown our income.

This role requires an excellent candidate to produce high quality bids, proposals and tenders which communicate our unique approach to working with Scotland’s vulnerable children, young people and families and which capture our outcome focused delivery models with clarity and conviction.

This role would be great for you if:

  • You believe in helping support some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and families
  • You can write excellent applications and funding bids
  • Enjoy working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders
  • Working with operational colleagues to find funding solutions to meet the need of those we support
  • Delivering the best you can
