We currently have a full-time permanent Harm Reduction Navigator vacancy. Successful candidates will be required to work across Forth Valley in accordance with service need.
As a Harm Reduction Navigator for Forth Valley Recovery Service, you will work with people who need our support, helping them get to where they want to be, working closely with Partner Services.
The post holder will work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team at the service named above, to deliver high quality provision to support the reduction of drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community by:
Providing harm reduction services including Injecting Equipment Provision, take home naloxone, Dry Blood Spot Tests and health checks.
Providing assertive outreach to encourage service user engagement, focusing on potentially excluded and hard to reach and vulnerable groups.
Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
Being flexible, curious and a good listener are key, to help ensure we treat everyone accessing our service as an individual.
Recording information is an important part of what you will do, so enjoying paperwork and having a good attention to detail are important. Most of the time, however you will get to enjoy working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to theirs and their families lives.
