Role

Support children and young people from families making the transition from armed forces to civilian life, through our Ruby Boots Buddy Support Service.

Funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has enabled Forces Children Scotland to turn an idea which was generated by a group of young people from armed forces and veteran families into an exciting new service.

Join our team to co-produce the support service for children and young people who are transitioning to becoming veteran families in Fife. Work directly with team members, as well as children and young people, from armed forces and veteran families, to co-develop, mobilise and promote the service across Fife.

Recruit, train and supervise young people, who have already made the transition, to develop knowledge, skills and confidence to support peers who are going through the same journey. Work within the community to establish working partnerships with military and civilian professional sectors to promote the service and enhance referral pathways to the service.
