We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and creative Youth Development Worker to work with young people, particularly those who are disadvantaged, to discover and unlock their talents, providing them with opportunities to make a difference in their community.
The Youth Development Worker for Inspiring Generations will support young people in leading the way and creating change, by increasing their own and others community participation, connectedness, and civic awareness.
This new and innovative project will bring generations together to learn from one another and develop new initiatives and projects for the benefit of the wider community. Using an intergenerational practice, the primary role is to support young people as agents of change in partnership with community members and service providers to create opportunities for people of all ages to become involved in community affairs. Your commitment and investment in the collective success of this project will be demonstrated in your ability to engage all those involved in learning programmes on leadership, governance and intergenerational learning as well as encouraging young people to embark on a journey of personal development and personal growth.
The successful candidate for this position will be a self-motivated individual who is adaptable, with a ‘can do’ attitude and is keen to build positive and influential relationships with the young people, community members, groups, and partner agencies.
