A unique opportunity to promote and improve joint working across public and third sector services in North Ayrshire.
This post will deliver further development of the provision of third sector services, based on need, and ensure
they would be easily accessible for those who need them most.
The development officer will be directly involved in supporting connections to community capacity building and
identifying collaborative opportunities to help establish joint working across services. The officer would
operate mainly within North Ayrshire localities reporting to Arran Community & Voluntary Service (partners
in TSI North Ayrshire) as employers and working closely with their lead officer to engage widely with community
groups, organisations, social enterprise and charities which provide or wish to provide services and support for
health and wellbeing needs. It will be important for the officer to engage regularly with Health & Social
Care partners to monitor the success of such provisions.
The Development Officer will carry out actions which will assist in achieving the outcomes contained in the Health
and Social Care (HSCP) Strategic Plan, focusing on activities within community settings and additionally
engaging with various localities, third sector forums and partnership provider forums as required. Provide and
promote information and events relating to both the Health and Social Care Integration agenda, and the Core
Activities of TSI North Ayrshire.
The role and function of this post is as agreed through the Lead Officer for the 3rd Sector (the CEO ACVS), in
conjunction with the Health and Social Care Partnership Strategic Lead Officer.
