After being with us for over five years, our current Dundee and Perth & Kinross Regional Manager is relocating to England in November 2023 to be closer to family. As a passionate, experienced professional in the identification, creation and management of a wide range of great partner relationships, you will ensure the Career Ready programme in Dundee City and Perth & Kinross continues to thrive across 8 schools in Dundee and 9 in Perth & Kinross.

Leading our work involves growing, developing and maintaining the brilliant employer and education partnerships that deliver the Career Ready programme, which includes the Local Advisory Board, the Local Authorities (key sponsors), schools (we have a Career Ready coordinator in each school), the Developing the Young Workforce Regional Group, and the many employer organisations and their people who volunteer as mentors, provide quality paid internships and deliver engaging masterclasses.

Lead and develop our Career Ready partnerships in Dundee and Perth & Kinross, optimising the programme experience for all stakeholders and securing ongoing or new employer support for the growing number of students each year (c.64 in Dundee and 50 in Perth & Kinross) who participate in the 18-month long Career Ready programme annually.

Lead programme delivery, stakeholder engagement and business development by working closely with the Career Ready Dundee and Perth & Kinross Local Advisory Board; Leanna Sinclair, Partnerships Development; Janine McFarland, Head of Programme & Operations; and the Career Ready Regional Manager and Scotland Operations team on a continuous improvement agenda that is focused on quality, impact and sustainability underpinned by attention to detail with efficient and effective processes.

• £34,000 – £37,500 DOE (pro rata)
• A working from home allowance of £300 (pro rata) pa is provided
• 33 days holiday (pro rata) plus 2 additional days in the summer. In addition, Career Ready is closed between Christmas and New Year and the time off is not taken from annual leave entitlement
• 6% of salary contribution to a private pension subject to an employee contribution of 3%

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to support young people to increase their knowledge and skills in numeracy and move on to a sustainable progression.

Key responsibilities in the role include:

• Key Worker to your own caseload of young people, working effectively to build their knowledge and skills in numeracy and support and progress them to a sustainable progression.

• Ensure set targets and outcomes are met relating to your caseload and contractual requirements in programme delivery.

• Assess young people’s skills and identify their needs and support required in order to produce an individual training plan, which is agreed and understood by them.

• Plan and organise a range of individual or group activities (in-house/outside) to best support the needs of young people.

• Resource, prepare and deliver training, obtaining feedback from young people to assess programme effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

The Family Therapy Training Network is seeking committed individuals who can provide strategic leadership to our organisation.

Established in 2012, the Family Therapy Training Network provides professionally and academically accredited, masters-level systemic family psychotherapeutic training to a variety of health, social care and independent/third sector services. Systemic therapy helps people who are in relationships, including to, amongst others, children and families who want to change their relationships and staff teams and organisations who seek to improve communication and coordination of services.

We are a professional board with a range of skills, but following the departure of two key board members we are taking the opportunity to review our board’s membership. To increase the diversity of our board, we are looking for three individuals with a range of skills. Most importantly, our board members need to have a commitment to children and families getting the best services, and receiving support to improve their relationships and the quality of their lives.

Non-Executive Members/Trustees - Board members will contribute to the overall governance, financial health and strategic direction of the organisation. Previous board experience is not required, and while we welcome applications from a range of backgrounds, we are particularly interested in hearing from those with the following skills:

• HR and people skills

• Corporate/business experience

• Strategic planning

We want our board to be active in our organisation and in addition to four to six board meetings, and our AGM, we welcome attendance at our continuous professional development events. Because of the wide application of the systems and relationship ideas that inform our training, we hope board membership will enhance directors skills in their own work context. We are based in Glasgow but most of our directors meetings are online. The post is unremunerated but any travelling expenses are reimbursed.
