This is a new Community Development position within Lanarkshire Carers and we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a community development or similar qualification, to deliver a community development approach to identifying and supporting carers in local communities with a focus on involvement, empowerment and meeting personalised outcomes. This post will report to a member of the management team and work closely with staff, volunteers, carers and partner organisations.
This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with partner organisations to develop opportunities for carers within their own communities, adhering to the value base of the organisation and ensuring a capacity building approach.

Our Workstyles
Post holders will be based between our centres in Hamilton and Airdrie, and localities throughout Lanarkshire. Working from home/hybrid working may also be required.
