This is an exciting opportunity to join our Growing Families project and help deliver a quality advice service to families with young children in Edinburgh.
CHAI is currently involved in the Scottish Government-led ‘Universal Pathway Quality Improvement Collaborative - Financial Inclusion’, which aims to add an effective pathway into financial advice for families supported by Health Visitors.
Working alongside the project’s Financial Capability Worker, and working in partnership with the Health Visitor teams in South East and North West Edinburgh, the Advice Worker will help provide income maximisation; welfare and debt advice; budgeting and financial capability support to expecting families and families with babies and young children who are supported by the Health Visitors.
This post is based within CHAI’s Advice Team. The model of provision will, typically, involve half a day of client appointments, followed up by a further half-day’s casework. Since the pandemic, we have operated a hybrid model of working with much of the advice being delivered over the phone/online. However, when required, direct client contact could take place at the Health Visitors’ bases, at the families’ homes or in community locations.
