Recovery services advice worker
We are looking for an advice worker to help maximise income through advice and casework on benefits and debt to people actively engaging with the substance recovery hubs in Edinburgh. The Recovery Hubs are a one-stop shop service offering a full range of drug and alcohol treatments and supports provided by the NHS, social work staff and the voluntary sector. Referrals come from the partners within the network such as social-workers, community psychiatric nurses and support workers. Close liaising with these professionals is necessary to ensure that the clients receive a smooth service.
The ideal candidate has work experience or knowledge of working within substance misuse services and the ability to work alongside other professionals providing this service. Experience of providing benefits and debt advice would greatly help but suitable transferable skills and a quick learning aptitude will also be considered.
Chai can offer you ongoing training, health care benefits, as well as satisfying work with a great team where you can directly help people improve their situation.
Closing date for applications Monday 19th September midday.
