Angus Cycle Hub CIC is looking to appoint a Development Officer to support the Association of Cycle Hubs and their members. Focussing primarily on the regions under our new Re-Cycles project. The post will be full time (35hrs per week) with a salary of £28,000 inclusive of PAYE and Pension contributions.
Angus Cycle Hub CIC is a Social Enterprise that works to develop opportunities and promote the health, social and environmental benefits of cycling and active travel.
The Development Officer will report to the Project Manager and will deliver on project initiatives primarily revolving around facilitating delivery of recycled bikes to associate members. Duties include the coordination of the delivery of the project through the development of partnership agreements and stakeholder meetings. The Development Officer will be responsible for the establishment of new relationships and supplying training to 3rd sector partners enabling Angus Cycle Hub CIC to distribute bikes across Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City. While the initial focus of this role is for a pilot, the foundations laid by the successful applicant will form the future of the role and project. A self-motivated individual with a development mindset and great communication and facilitation skills would be a perfect fit for this role.
The Development Officer will coordinate with stakeholders and key partners including councils, charities, and national organisations to ensure a successful delivery of project targets. Supported by the Project Manager, the Development Officer will coordinate delivery between the bike recycling team, the association members, and the referral agencies ensuring targets are met.
The Development Officer remit will include establishing the support systems around our Association of Cycle Hubs and its members. It is expected that there will be a significant number of presentations, public speaking, meetings, and client negotiations as part of this role. Therefore, we expect the Development Officer to be confident and an excellent communicator. We also require the successful candidate to be able to learn new ways of working quickly and be adaptable to change.
We seek a dynamic, proactive, and enthusiastic candidate with an understanding of community development to join our development team. Previous Experience of engaging with the community and coordinating community programmes is essential. Cycling leader qualifications (CRL, BSI, or UKMBL 2) and being an active personal cyclist are desirable qualifications and attributes but not essential.
