Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. We have represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for almost 100 years. About the Role
The George Street Service is a SAMH supported accommodation service that provides emotional, social and practical support, whilst promoting independent living, to a number of service users with severe and enduring mental health problems, homelessness and substance misuse problems. By providing this support, it is envisaged that service users experience a quality of life that was perhaps not previously available to them.
We are committed to providing care and support to our service users and staff and are looking for a Service Manager who is equally dedicated to the provision of outcome focused person centred care. We should have big ambitions and long-term strategic aims when it comes to mental health.
Role Profile
The Service Manager will provide dynamic, confident and positive leadership and management while demonstrating and evidencing the following;
The project operates 365 days a year. There is a rotational shift pattern in place and the successful candidate will provide management on call duties on a rotational basis.
To be successful in this post you will meet the essential criteria, core competencies/behaviour and skills listed in the role profile and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering outcomes for vulnerable adults and knowledge and experience of working in the field of mental health and wellbeing.
