Refugee Survival Trust (RST) vision is a welcoming, inclusive, safe Scotland for refugees, where all live free of destitution and have the means and opportunities to realise their full potential. Our mission is to provide refugees and people seeking asylum with practical support when it is most needed, build connections between people and use what we learn to campaign for change.
After a period of change we are focusing on longer term strategic planning and our digital presence. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a creative with a passion for digital communications, who is driven to increase funding to support our mission. You will want to join a small, committed team to help us deliver incredible impact for our size.
Never have great communications been more important for refugee organisations. There are vital messages to communicate, and important stories to tell. The political context of the Nationality and Borders Act, the Rwanda policy and many more factors make for a challenging environment, within which it is important that the voices of people most affected are heard. We want to build support for positive local policies and action by councils, other public bodies, employers, and the public. We need to communicate with the public, clients, and supporters, and reach more people, and to do that, raise more funds.
RST offer a generous holiday allowance, an employers contributory pension scheme @ 6% as well as flexible and a small friendly, collaborative team.
