For Scotland’s Mental Health.
SAMH in partnership with West Dunbartonshire Council are setting up a new and innovative Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Service in West Dunbartonshire. This new service will work collaboratively with the Addiction Recovery Team in the area to support people to access and sustain employment. IPS is an internationally recognised supported employment model that adopts a place then train approach and a principle of zero exclusion.
Predominantly providing employability support, you must be able to demonstrate experience of joined up partnership working and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of best practice in addiction services and/or in the provision of employability and employment services. A working knowledge of IPS in particular would be an advantage, but full IPS training will be provided. We are looking for initiative, creativity, energy and determination and the ability to motivate, develop and inspire individuals to develop their self-confidence and realise their aspirations. You will be a self-starter, thrive in a multi-agency setting and have an appetite to promote this innovative approach.
As this post will involve travel across West Dunbartonshire and Glasgow a full driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
