Role

North Lanarkshire Women’s Aid have delivered domestic abuse services across the Northern Corridor of North Lanarkshire for more than 30 years. We provide an outstanding level of service provision to support the needs of women, children and young people who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse.

We are currently seeking to recruit 1 part time suitably experienced, skilled and qualified woman to fulfil the role.

The role of the Children and Young person’s support worker will be to enhance the service by providing preventative, crisis intervention and ongoing casework support to children and young people who are directly or indirectly exposed to the issues of domestic abuse.

Applicants must be qualified to SVQ level 3 childcare & early years or equivalent in a relevant qualification. Experience of working with children and young people is essential and knowledge of the impact that domestic abuse has upon their development is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Driving Licence and access to a car is essential.
