Role
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland (TRFS) is seeking a Quality and Improvement Partner to join our Development Team.
As a Quality and Improvement Partner you will have a varied and dynamic remit focused on helping TRFS to continually deliver high quality services that reflect both best practice standards and the needs and preferences of the people we support, their families, and other key stakeholders.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation helping them to: implement and comply with our Quality Framework; audit and evaluate services; design / implement effective continuous improvement plans and processes. You will also champion co-production and the active involvement of people we support in quality and organisational development processes.
As a Quality and Improvement Partner you will also support innovation by helping TRFS to design and test new models of support. You will ensure that we gather comprehensive and accurate performance data and share evidence that demonstrates how we help people to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.
The successful candidate will be values driven and will have direct experience of working in a quality and improvement focused role within the social care / health sector. They will bring knowledge of evaluation and improvement methods, excellent research, analysis and communication skills, and a proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders (including supported people).
The role is home based but travel throughout Scotland will be required. We’re recruiting a Senior Support Worker to lead frontline delivery of personalised, high-quality, and compassionate support to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering tenancy support, housing management assistance, and wellbeing services tailored to individual needs.
Eastfield is a high support needs service, supporting people with multiple and complex needs as such as substance use, mental health and physical health. This does not involve any personal care or administering any medication
Role and responsibilities
• Coordinate and deliver support plans addressing tenancy sustainment, substance use, mental health, housing needs, and personal development.
• Responsible for coordinating and maintaining staff rotas for their service.
• Work directly with individuals to help them achieve their goals, build life skills, and improve health and wellbeing.
• Act as a keyworker and oversee support delivery, ensuring accurate and professional records.
• Liaise with external partners, including housing teams, healthcare services, and advocacy groups.
• Provide leadership on shift and supervision to support workers in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Promote inclusion, empowerment, and trauma-informed practice in all areas of support.
Essential Skills and Attributes
• A recognised social care qualification at SCQF Level 6 or above.
• Experience working in adult social care, ideally in homelessness, housing support or mental health.
• Confident in report writing, support planning, and using digital systems.
• Understanding of SSSC codes of practice and Care Inspectorate standards.
• Strong values of compassion, dignity, and respect for all.
• Ability to read, speak and write in English at CEFR level B1 or higher.
• Commitment to the values and mission of Care Support Scotland, and to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
Desired skills and attributes
• Previous social care practitioner (skilled worker) experience,
• Previous supervisory experience
• Previous specialist training experience directly related to the role.

About the role
As the Registered Manager, you will be an experienced leader leading a team working with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
As the Registered Manager you will:
- Maintain the continuing relevance of services to individuals’ needs and purchaser requirements by ongoing planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the service, managing significant budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and making financial decisions.
- Where a need or an opportunity is identified, lead on the development of new services, support business growth and maintain reputational excellence.
- Comply with governance, law and legislation including local authority compliance, Care Inspectorate (at level 5 and above), SSSC and safeguarding procedures.
- Support the senior management team in the streamlining, promotion and monitoring of quality assurance systems which meets the needs of individual services as well as the overall service delivery in the region.
- Develop, monitor and implement supervision and appraisal systems for staff.
About You
You will have passion and drive to take forward a well-established Service and Team. Be passionate; and committed to the overall aims and objectives of the service and have the belief that people can live fulfilling lives with the right support in place.
You should also have:
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and leading a service delivery team, including managing the provision of a safe operating environment in a relevant context.
- The ability to negotiate with a wide range of internal and external partners and build positive relationships including local authorities and housing associations.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise your own time and workload to meet a number of different and competing tasks in sometimes pressurised environment.

• Working alongside support workers, the Community Connector will focus on helping women to build recovery capital – their personal resilience, social networks, and community connections. The role brings additional capacity for group work, community engagement, and peer-led activities, complementing the direct support already provided by the team.
• You will support women to set goals, explore their strengths and aspirations, and access opportunities that promote wellbeing, recovery, and inclusion. By co-designing groups and activities, and linking women into local services, volunteering, and community resources, you will play a key part in reducing isolation and repeat homelessness.

Who We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a compassionate and effective leader who can engage, inspire, and support others. You should have experience in adult social care, excellent communication skills, and a creative approach to problem-solving. You’ll bring:
- Experience in adult social care: You should have an SVQ 4 in Health and Social care, or be willing to work towards this, as well as experience leading or supporting teams in social care, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities this role brings
- Leadership skills: You’re a supportive leader - approachable, adaptable, and able to empower your team, especially during times of change or challenge
- Problem-solving: Strong critical thinking and the ability to find solutions that make a positive impact on the people we support and your team
- Knowledge of the sector: A solid understanding of the Scottish Social Care sector, including regulatory bodies such as the Care Inspectorate and SSSC
