We engage and support young people, using practical youth centered approaches and tools, working one-to-one, taking time to listen, build relationships and encourage and motivate their aspirations and engagement with training and learning opportunities.
We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join us as Team Leader of Foyer Futures, supporting our Foyer Futures Service Manager.
As Team Leader, you will have operational oversight of our service contracts and will actively work to promote the highest standards and quality in Foyer services. You will ensure that young people’s views are incorporated into all aspects of service development and delivery, and ensure services are client focused in their approach. You will work in partnership and collaborate with colleagues and partners to maximise outcomes for young people, the team, and Aberdeen Foyer. You will be responsible for the line management and support of a team of Development Coaches, nurturing talent, and monitoring and evaluating their performance.
This role requires someone with great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a wide-ranging workload with competing priorities. We are seeking an excellent communicator, someone who is comfortable in multi-agency settings. Collaboration and a flexible mindset are essential to this role, supporting partnership working to ensure positive teamwork across the Foyer Futures team.
You will be proactive, driven, and comfortable working both autonomously and part of the wider team. You will be experienced in leading, motivating and developing a team and will have a passion for supporting young people and providing an excellent service. You will be solutions focused and most of all, you will believe in young people, see their potential, and invest in them to achieve the very best for their futures.
The role will involve being present in the local area of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, however we trust our staff to do the best job possible and so the role offers autonomy and an opportunity to be flexible.
