Key and Community Lifestyles are passionate about delivering innovative personalised services which support disabled people to live life to the full. We currently support around 2000 people across Scotland, many of whom organise their individual service through Self Directed Support arrangements, and we employ around 2400 staff.

As Scotland embarks on the ambitious development of a new National Care Service, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to contribute to, and influence, all areas of policy, practice and service development relating to outcome focused, human rights-based, inclusive support. If you are serious about making sure that everyone gets the support they need to live their life and be active citizens then this opportunity may be for you.

You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the current and emerging issues for social care in Scotland with a particular focus on the principles of self-directed support and the development of ethical commissioning.

With significant experience in working in social services, ideally in managing and delivering person-centred support to disabled people, you will be qualified to a minimum of SVQ3 (or equivalent in a relevant field) with the ability to prioritise, plan and deliver on key work priorities. With excellent written skills you will also be a natural people person with a proven ability in building relationships, partnership working and collaboration.

The post is based in Glasgow but will involve some travel across Scotland.
