Role

Ardgowan hospice provides essential palliative care across Inverclyde and needs to inspire people to raise over £2million every year to fund this care. As a local employer we aspire to provide outstanding care in all aspects of what we do, from the experience of patients, families, staff and volunteers through to our compliance with the corporate, financial, fundraising, charity and trading regulations for our business.

The Director of Income Generation and Marketing and Communications is responsible for leading on all areas which maximise income and return on investment to fund hospice services. Additionally they lead on a whole hospice income generating strategy – communicating to staff and volunteers that fundraising is ‘everybody’s business’.

This role plays a key part in the operational management and strategic development of Ardgowan Hospice, by participating fully in the Senior Management Team.

Be responsible for the income generation function, achieving strong, sustained net income growth in order to enable the hospice to achieve its strategic and operational aims.

Applicants should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and have a Institute of Fundraising Certificate in Fundraising Management or working towards this. Significant experience within an operational management position and preferably retail experience is necessary and significant success with reaching income generation targets identifying/establishing new income streams.
