What you need to know

The Junior Copywriter is a newly created role within Scottish Ballet to support fundraising activity for Scotland’s national dance company. Our Junior Copywriter will help to create and submit compelling funding applications and well-articulated reports to trusts and foundations. They will contribute to and coordinate key stakeholder communications.

Knowledge of the performing arts is an advantage, but strong research skills and the ability to retain key information are also important.

In a nutshell, we want to hear from you if you:

  • Have great written communication skills, combining creative flair with meticulous proofreading and attention to detail
  • Have excellent organisational skills and are confident in using digital platforms and databases to manage information
  • Strong people skills and can work well with others

About the role

It’s a two-year fixed term contract with potential to become permanent:

  • Salary is £25,000 (pro rata)
  • The role is part-time, approx. 21 hours per week. Hours can be flexible.
  • We offer great benefits including a competitive pension package, life assurance, 25 days of annual leave (plus an additional nine Scottish public holidays) pro rata, retailer discounts and a Cycle to Work scheme.
  • The team are based at our Glasgow HQ, ideally you would be too. Hybrid working (flexibility to work from both the office and home) is optional.
