RAMH are developing their Housing Support Services and are looking for innovative and enthusiastic Recovery Support Workers, to provide consistent support to our service users.

We provide support to individuals to maintain and develop their home and community life. Support is provided to individuals in their own home or 24 hour supported tenancies.

You must enjoy working with people and be committed to helping them achieve their personal outcomes. RAMH have an excellent reputation for delivering quality person centred services that focus on recovery outcomes.

You will need to be a good team worker with good written and verbal communication skills as you will be required to record the outcomes you achieve with individuals on a daily basis. Excellent flexibility in working hours is essential, as evening, weekends and sleepovers are required.

Regular training and development is available and the opportunity to contribute to a large motivated team.

You First Advocacy provide an independent professional advocacy service to a wide range of vulnerable adults in Renfrewshire, who require short-term advocacy to address specific issues arising from health, community care or legal interventions. The service is provided by paid staff and trained volunteers.

This fixed-term post (12 months) will contribute effectively to the You First Advocacy Service and will do so, by providing dedicated advocacy support for people affected by drug or alcohol use, as part of YFA’s operational team.

• The post holder will be required to clearly show an understanding of the concept of advocacy for people affected by drug or alcohol use and associated issues.
• An awareness of individual rights, objectivity and empathy will be required.
• A mature ability to challenge individuals/organisations on behalf of the service user, without recourse to confrontation is essential.

This is an exciting and challenging post for a person who supports social justice and the rights of vulnerable individuals. It is essential that you have knowledge and experience of Addictions, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and other generic client groups. A knowledge of advocacy is also essential. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivated.
