ACUMEN (Advancing Community Understanding of Mental and Emotional Needs)

ACUMEN is a network of people who use mental health support and carers from across the West of Scotland. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join ACUMEN in East Renfrewshire.

The post is funded in partnership with East Renfrewshire HSCP and will forge direct links to other well established service user and carer networks; represent service users and carers in a variety of forums and work to develop opportunities for service user and carer experience to be represented at the strategic level.

The worker will support the Development Manager by practical involvement and representation in service consultation, planning and review. The post will support individuals who may use services in East Renfrewshire by acting as a dedicated focal point for information and consultation. Direct experience of working closely with services is essential as is an understanding of current mental health strategy and excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
