Role

Positive Action in Housing is an independent, anti-racist homelessness and human rights charity (SC027577) dedicated to supporting women, children and men from refugee and migrant backgrounds to rebuild their lives. We believe in a society where everyone has the right to live safe and dignified lives, free from poverty, homelessness, or inequality.

The training service is dependent on the post holder growing existing and new training business. There is scope for development for the right person. This post will suit someone who is raring to go, goal oriented and self motivated and enjoys working with others in a positive and team oriented setting. You will ideally enjoy recruiting new trainers to help us deliver diversity and rights training . You will enjoy creating new courses, developing existing courses and finding new courses and trainers to develop the training programme. Your aim will be to make the training department financially viable and therefore you will be developing inhouse, bespoke and online courses too. We have a great team to support you too. Training will be directed at housing, voluntary and statutory sector professionals and organisations. You will ensure Positive Action in Housing’s equalities and diversity training programme becomes a leader in its field. You will be creating an original and exciting equalities training programme in consultation with Registered Social Landlords, Voluntary organisations and local authorities. You will make learning fun as well as informative. You will work with other trainers as well as deliver training. You will be committed to finding out new learning techniques and developing accredited courses and CPD. You will have excellent interpersonal skills. You will have excellent communication skills, administrative skills, be computer literate, highly self-motivated, able to prioritise your work and be a supportive team member.

We are looking for someone who is positive, creative, and accountable with the ability to build positive relationships with partner organisations, service users and our staff and volunteers.
