Support Worker

  • The role is for 3 days per week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The rate of pay is £10 per hour for 21 hours. We have secured funding for this post for 2 years with the possibility of extension if funding can be secured.

Role

Reanimate is a charity that provides animal integrated mentoring to individuals who have suffered trauma, mental health issues, or who have additional support needs. We provide an inclusive environment for animals and people, so that they can help each other to heal.

We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker to work alongside and provide support to volunteers with Autism or other additional support needs. We wish to ensure that these volunteers can develop their skills and participate as fully as possible and are looking to take on a support worker to help facilitate this. You will be working outdoors most of the time alongside horses and other farm animals such as sheep, goats, and chickens, so experience in this area would be desirable but not required. Being an animal lover is essential, however.

Skills/Experience Required:

You must have proven experience of working with individuals with additional support needs (either children or adults or both). You must be flexible in your approach to work. You must be willing to get involved in tasks such as mucking out to help provide support to the volunteers undertaking these
