Role

Do you want to apply your financial skills to tackling the climate emergency?

We are looking for a talented financial professional to lead our finance function and support managers to drive our delivery.

About you

We need a talented financial professional with excellent communication skills, able to support and challenge senior managers. You will have proven experience in developing systems, in-depth financial analysis and account production and maximising the potential of accounting and supporting systems.

A qualified accountant who will manage a high-performing and growing team. You will regularly interact with senior colleagues, utilising your technical skills for the benefit of the wider organisation. You will be eager to apply your technical skills to making a difference to the planet and people in fuel poverty.

About the role

Changeworks has recently adopted a new strategic plan with a clear focus on growing our services which directly contribute to reducing Scotland’s carbon emissions from our homes. To support our expansion, we are strengthening our finance function by the appointment of a Head of Finance to ensure that we continue to operate sustainably as we grow in particular into more commercial work.

Our new accounting system, Microsoft Business Central goes live on 1 April 2022 and the Head of Finance will have the opportunity to maximise the potential of the system through ongoing targeted development.

As new services are developed the Head of Finance will have a key role in establishing systems and processes to support this expansion.

This is a senior and strategically important role within Changeworks: the Head of Finance will be a part of the senior management team and report to (and occasionally deputise for) the Finance and Resources Director.

Benefits

We offer a wide range of staff benefits including hybrid working, bike to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holidays plus 9 public holidays per year.
