Goods and Services Manager

  • Full time
  • £30,587 – £33,770
  • Edinburgh
  • Closing 25th March 2022

  • Advertised from 2nd March 2022

Role

Fresh Start support people to move on from homelessness, and act to prevent homelessness, through the provision of practical goods and services.

The services that this role will manage include:

  • Our ‘starter packs’ – packs of essential household items to help someone to set up in their new home and are largely compiled of donated goods.
  • Provision of white goods - funded through our own funding campaigns or applications to third party organisations.
  • Our ‘Hit Squads’ - a painting and decorating service for people who recently moved into their new tenancies.

The successful candidate would be required to oversee the running of these well-established services and manage the targets and expectations of the service and service users.

There is also a requirement to build relationships with many supporters who donate goods to Fresh Start, including churches, community groups, corporate supporters and individual givers.

This is a wide and varied role, including staff and volunteer management, that requires someone that will actively participate and will not be based at a desk all day, but instead, will have the opportunity to interact with our volunteers, staff and service users to deliver a much sought after service.

A keen interest in waste reduction and circular economy models would be of great benefit to the role.
