About the role and team

We work together. You'll be expected to lead the team and work with wider teams, on all and any of our projects and products. Sometimes at a moment's notice. That could mean working with Product Owners and Managers, developers, designers, policy specialists, legal teams, senior management - anyone you need to, to produce world-class online products and services.

Rule one is to start with user needs. We create digital products and services that help people solve their housing-related issues. We’re working with users of our online advice services and people across the organisation to make our services and information simpler, clearer, and faster.

About Shelter

A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle daily with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination, and the threat of eviction.

Above all we seek a transformation in housing policy, including investment in homes people on low incomes can actually afford – an investment that has been missing for decades and from all political parties, so that now the human cost has become intolerable.

Shelter has made a specific commitment to becoming an Anti-Racist organisation and seeks to put race equity at its core, not being afraid to identify, challenge and address interpersonal, institutional, and systemic racism.

Closing date: 11:30pm on 20th March

Interview date: Shortlisting will happen throughout the period the role is advertised. Should sufficient applications be received ahead of the closing date we reserve the right to close the role ahead of the 20th of March.
