  • Edinburgh and Midlothian
  • Closing 14th March 2022

Role

Cyrenians has worked with NHS Lothian to establish two hospital community gardens: one in Morningside, Edinburgh and one in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian.

Each garden was developed to offer hospital patients, staff and visitors, as well as people and groups from the local community, the chance to take part in a range of gardening and nature-based activities.

We are looking for a Green Activity Coordinator to lead on and develop our new programmes of outdoor therapeutic activities, working with people in the community experiencing poor mental health.

Central to the role will be a passion for the healing benefits of being outdoors and supporting people to experience this for themselves. Creativity, flexibility and the ability to respond to the changing needs of participants will inform programme design and how you evaluate the programme and tell people’s stories. Experience of partnership working, reporting, measuring and evaluating are also essential, as well as a good knowledge of local 3rd sector organisations.

You should have experience of working with vulnerable people and the ability to demonstrate our values of compassion, respect, integrity and innovation in the work that you do.
