Role

Changeworks has been leading the way in delivering low-carbon living and tackling fuel poverty for over 35 years, and nowhere is that more apparent than our Home Energy Scotland service. Home Energy Scotland advice centres provide impartial, expert energy efficiency advice across the country through a variety of methods.

We are looking for a new leader for our advice centre in the Highlands and Islands. Someone with a passion for delivering a quality service and motivating a highly skilled team to achieve demanding targets. You will be a key driver of our work to decarbonise homes in Scotland and tackle the climate emergency and fuel poverty at this crucial time.

You will have proven experience in leading high performing successful teams, building strong strategic partnerships, managing people and cross team working. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills at senior management, external stakeholder and employee levels.

The Centre Manager is responsible for delivering the Scottish Government-funded Home Energy Scotland advice centre contract in the Highlands and Islands on behalf of the Energy Saving Trust. You will ensure all targets, performance measures and reporting requirements are successfully met.

A sound knowledge of the Highlands and Islands area along with an ability to foster strong, collaborative partnerships is vital.

Changeworks delivers the Home Energy Scotland advice centres in both the Highlands and Islands and South East Scotland under contracts managed by the Energy Saving Trust. The Centre Manager will report to Changeworks’ Operations Director.

At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.

We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, cycle to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.

At Changeworks we remain working at home, where possible, in line with Scottish Government advice. This post would have typically been based at our Inverness office (Fairways House, Fairways Business Park, Inverness) however we are currently designing our new ways of working. Over the coming months we will be looking to offer increased flexibility about where we work, in a hybrid of home and office base depending on the needs of each role.
