Role

The Service

WDP Redbridge is an established, integrated community service delivered across several provisions in the Borough. The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial elements and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV and health interventions, OST, and community detox, as well as having family and carers and service user involvement provision. WDP Redbridge is an established community service that is well performing and highly functioning. Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs.

About the Role

The criminal justice recovery practitioner role will carry a caseload of primarily service users who are engaged in the criminal justice system and undertake a wide range of ‘duty’ and ‘care-coordination’ functions, working with service users in the from the point of first contact through to their planned exit from the service following treatment.

We are seeking committed, organised and highly motivated candidates, with an in-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance misuse and related health and wellbeing issues.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service making positive changes in service users’ lives, through a non-judgemental, recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals.

You will work in partnership with our clinical and aftercare services, primary care services, Criminal Justice agencies, Outreach services, Young Peoples’ services, treatment providers, service users and the local community.

We are a friendly team of professionals who support each other. The service operates Monday to Friday, our core hours are 9am to 5pm but there are times where we might need to work occasional evenings or weekends.

Location

The role is predominantly based in Ilford Chambers, and will work across criminal justice settings including court, custody, probation and prison locations.

This will also involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other WDP locations as needed.
