An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Employability Trainer to join our team delivering the new All in Moray service.

The Employability Trainer will engage with Moray employers and work collaboratively with them to promote and improve workforce diversity. They will also deliver training workshops directly to our clients and help gain new employability skills and prepare for the world of work.

Job Purpose

The Employability Trainer will actively network and market the programme to local employers, establishing a network of engaged organisations across Moray.

Working collaboratively with employers to help them gain an increased understanding of the support needs of current, or future employees, with disabilities. This will involve delivering training sessions to their staff teams and helping them to assess their recruitment and employee support practices and making a series of recommendations to increase accessibility.

The Employability Trainer will also design and deliver employability workshops to our clients to increase their employability skills and support them in making progress towards achieving employment

You will be an important member of the wider ENABLE Works team, supporting departmental objectives through the delivery of your training, but also through positive collaboration and innovation within your team to support our strategic, societal goals

This post is funded by the European Social Fund and 100% the post holders time will be spent delivering this activity.

Main Duties and Accountabilities

High quality programme delivery:

  • Marketing and promotion of programme to Moray employers.
  • Working collaboratively with employers to support the evaluation of recruitment and staff support strategies; making recommendations to increase inclusion and diversity within their workplace.
  • Delivery of high-quality training to staff at all levels in partner organisations, making adaptations in terms of content where necessary for specific workplaces, or delivery methodology in line with specific learner requirements.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service throughout all external partner engagements, as well as a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Managing professional relationships with stakeholders and employers to increase workplace accessibility and support the creation of opportunities for people in Moray who have a disability.
  • Designing and delivering high quality employability workshops to our clients.

Delivering projects to plan:

  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records ready for audit.
  • Recording and gathering project information in line with project timescales and work plan.
  • Handling and storing project information in line with ENABLE Scotland’s data protection policy.
  • Reporting accurately on project activity when requested and in line with project timescales.

Meeting performance expectations:

  • Meeting and exceeding individual project expectations and targets.
  • Innovating and collaborating across your team to support wider ENABLE Works performance.

Contribution to strategy:

  • Sharing best practice and opportunities with ENABLE Works colleagues.
  • Positive and flexible response to changes in work plans.
  • Collaborative approach to team and departmental delivery.
  • Managing your time/caseload efficiently in order to respond to additional duties as required.
  • Supporting the training and marking of accredited staff training.
  • Representing ENABLE Works and ENABLE Scotland with an understanding of departmental and organisational strategies.
