Role

Glasgow’s Empowering Communities Consortium (GECCo) is an exciting new city-wide venture of Development Trusts and community-led organisations. Having been awarded a contract from Glasgow City Council for employment support our consortium will be driving forward an ambitious, creative and innovative programme of support that has local delivery, empowerment and a person-centred approach at the heart.

This city-wide GECCo consortium includes Connect Community Trust (lead partner), Community Central Halls, SWAMP and Govanhill Community Development Trust plus other community organisations as the delivery develops. Our delivery will stay true to the ethos of all our organisations by providing a person-centred approach to helping people into employment and on their personal journey whilst also strengthening and empowering local communities, individuals and organisations.

This is your chance to be part of a truly transformational community-led employment support programme!

This position will shape, develop and provide a range of support and training that ultimately helps people get into employment. Whilst also being embedded in community services and activities locally to help overcome social, community and personal issues.
