Feed the Minds is a small, but ambitious UK-based international development organisation, operating in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Our projects emphasize partnership and sustainable solutions promoting economic empowerment, health, and citizenship through practical education. Our funding comes from a wide variety of sources: individual supporters, networks, and church groups as well as trusts and statutory funders and we are keen to diversify our funding streams.
About the role
We are looking for a talented Regional Fundraising Coordinator for our work in Scotland. In this role, you will join a small but high performing fundraising team. We are seeking a strong networker, who enjoys giving talks and presentations and is able to motivate volunteers to work alongside you. You will have previous solid experience of fundraising, public speaking, or teaching. In addition, you will need to evidence your ability to create new and appealing fundraising activities, to appeal to and recruit new audiences and supporters.
Your responsibility will be to co-ordinate our contacts with community groups, such as schools, churches, and women’s networks etc. across Scotland. Secondly, maintaining and developing relationships and creating opportunities to raise funds.
We are keen to find the right person for this role and therefore would be happy to discuss flexible working. The role is home based, with occasional evening and weekend work. You must be prepared to travel to different parts of Scotland and occasionally to London. Location in Scotland is ideally Edinburgh or Glasgow or another location with excellent communication and transport links.
This role offers the opportunity to work independently, using your initiative and enjoying a wide variety of tasks and contacts.
