Role

Are you excited by the thought of working for an organisation whose mission is to change behaviour to improve our environment, the quality of people’s lives, their wellbeing, and the places that they care for? If you answered yes, please read on……

Who we are

Keep Scotland Beautiful is your charity for Scotland’s environment.

Our vision is for a clean, green, sustainable Scotland. We work with you to help combat climate change, reduce litter and waste, and protect and enhance the places we care for. We aim to change behaviour to improve our environment, the quality of people’s lives, their wellbeing, and the places that they care for.

We support the ambitions of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

What the role is

It is an exciting time to be joining our team seeking to tackle the challenges of litter and littering behaviour, with the Scottish Government recently consulting on proposals for a new national litter and flytipping strategy. Keep Scotland Beautiful is at the forefront of efforts nationally and locally to tackle these challenges.

Clean Up Scotland is our national campaign to tackle litter. This involves everything from working with councils and corporate partners to design behaviour change interventions to supporting local people to gather data and evidence, organise litter picks or develop local campaigns.

#CleanUpScotland #BinIt #BinYourLitter #TakeItHome

This role will lead and facilitate the implementation and delivery of our Clean Up Scotland Campaign and associated activities. This will include campaign development, the design and implementation of interventions, managing relationships with key stakeholders across the public, private and community sectors, undertaking monitoring and evaluation, and campaign promotion.

What you’ll need to have

We are looking for someone with an understanding of environmental issues and policy (in particular around litter, plastics pollution, circular economy and/or climate change) who can create successful behaviour change interventions and large-scale campaigns/initiatives from inception to delivery.

You will have experience of coordinating and supporting campaign supporters/volunteers along with the ability to create and maintain positive working partnerships. In addition, we are looking for you to have demonstrable experience working on a range of communications platforms and channels to support campaign delivery.

The post holder will require to have a full, valid UK driving licence.
