Bipolar Scotland is at an exciting time in our story. We have recently launched our 5-year strategic plan “A Time to Move Forward” and are offering the opportunity for an exceptional candidate to play a key part in the expansion of the organisation.
Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, we are seeking an experienced Volunteer Manager to recruit and support the ongoing supervision and development of lived-experience volunteers as part of an innovative new post-diagnostic service. The successful candidate will be a proactive, passionate individual with the drive and initiative to be part of a forward-looking organisation. The ideal candidate will have direct or indirect experience of living or working with mental health conditions, particularly bipolar, and of the key issues facing people with lived experience of the condition and their support networks.
They will have experience of recruiting, training and supporting volunteers as well as a good understanding of peer-led services and the value of lived experience. For further requirements, please see the attached person specification.
