Join an award-winning charity and passionate team dedicated to ensuring the country’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people are defined by their talent and never their circumstances. Our in-school mentoring has profound impacts on mentees in their confidence, wellbeing, achievement and post-school progression. MCR Mentors make and experience a life changing difference.

MCR Pathways is a national, award-winning mentoring programme dedicated to addressing the long-standing inequality in education outcomes, career opportunities and life chances for young people in care and those experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage.

In 2021 MCR were winners of a prestigious UK Centre for Social Justice Award CSJ award. The CSJ produced this film about MCR young person Emily and her mentor Elaine.

We are recruiting two Mentor Recruitment Managers (East and North based) to lead our volunteer mentor recruitment team, processes, training and the ongoing support for each and every one of these life changers. You’ll establish a deeply personal service that inspires every volunteer and individual to feel a hugely valued part of the MCR family and cause. This is exceptional customer service and relationship building in practice for a cause that matters for a lifetime. You will be a motivated, committed and resilient person who can lead from the front and be the mentor champion for each of the young people, schools, ambassadors, mentors, their employers and the communities we serve.

The successful candidate will be joining our organisation at a time of exciting growth, where we are launching into new local authorities and developing our programme.
