Role

Who we are:

Rock Trust is Scotland’s youth homelessness charity. We provide a range of housing and support services to young people aged 16-25 at risk of, or experiencing homelessness. Our Mission is to prevent youth homelessness and to support young people to build better futures.

Our aim is to end youth homelessness in Scotland by ensuring that every young person has access to expert youth specific services to assist them to avoid, survive and move on from homelessness.

The Role:

We are delighted to advertise this role within our Communications and Fundraising Team. We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Communications and Digital Lead to co-ordinate the delivery of Rock Trust communications activity. As we expand our services and reach across Scotland, we are looking for an ambitious individual with an analytical eye, to support the development of the trust’s communications strategy, with a particular focus on driving forward our online presence with dynamic and impactful digital content and campaigns. The post-holder will work with the Communications and Fundraising Manager, Fundraising Team, and cross-departmentally, to create and share high-quality, compelling, multimedia content to aid brand awareness and income generation for the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an established Communications and Fundraising team as well as a growing organisation.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, is able to prioritise their own work, can work autonomously and with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally. We need someone who can work alongside a diverse range of people.

In return, you will be welcomed into an incredibly talented, caring team, who live our values and will support you every step of the way. You will be supported within a Talent Development Programme, and your goals will be agile, focused on developing you personally and professionally.

Rock Trust has four core values: Safety, Positivity, Respect and Fairness. If you hold these values and are passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential and move on from homelessness, then please get in touch.

Rock Trust holds the gold award from Investors in People. We are committed to making Rock Trust a fantastic place to work. We provide a range of enhanced benefits for staff, including 25 days annual leave and 10 public holidays, an 8% employer contribution pension scheme, life assurance scheme, employee rewards and enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.

You can find out about our other benefits by visiting our Working at Rock Trust page. We actively support the ability to work flexibly and remotely, and all staff are provided with the ICT kit and home set-ups needed to minimise travel and promote a work-life balance.

We are an equal opportunity employer, with the Silver Charter from LGBT Youth Scotland and are signed up to the DWP’s Disability Confident scheme. We encourage applications from all parts of the community.
