Adult Education Co-ordinator

Role

The LEAP organisation is a well-established charity which provides free practical assistance to people over the age of 50. We also provide a Leisure and Learning Programme to this group which covers a diverse range of areas as New Age Kurling, singing groups, Tai Chi, languages and IT.

We are looking to recruit a coordinator who will be responsible for developing and managing a range of adult education and wellbeing opportunities, aimed at connecting older people and minimising loneliness and isolation.

The role will also be responsible for developing the project strategically ensuring that the project meets its targets and goals.

A successful candidate will:

  • Have a passion for achieving high levels of client service
  • Have a proven track record of working in an education or community setting, ideally having experience of working with volunteers in/with the public and/or third sector
  • Have experience of coordinating project coordination
  • Be able to make decisions and work on your own initiative
  • Have experience of promoting a service within a local community and engaging effectively with key stakeholders, whilst developing an effective network of contacts
  • Be able to evaluate the service levels achieved to ensure key milestones are met
  • Be proficient in report writing
  • Have sound communication skills
  • Be organised with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work flexibly with the rest of the team
  • Be required to act on your own initiative
  • Be computer literate with a range of information technology skills including a good level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ideally have a clean driving licence.
