Role

Scripture Union Scotland's vision is to see the children and young people of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus. We are a national charity, with almost 100 staff and over 2,000 volunteers. Our activities take place in schools, outdoor activity centres, churches and online.

This newly-created, highly strategic role offers a phenomenal opportunity to bring creative leadership to all things digital within the organisation. Our big vision for the next three years is to see numbers of connections grow from around 2% of Scotland’s 700,000 children and young people to 5% or more and digital is the at the epicentre of our strategy to achieve that, by God’s grace.

You will have proven experience of enabling teams to think and act digitally, top notch networking and communication skills and a passion to see children and young people exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus. You will be an enthusiastic and inspirational leader, able to influence and collaborate with a diverse range of colleagues right across the organisation.

For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and are able to demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.
