We aim to change behaviour to improve our environment, the quality of people’s lives, their wellbeing, and the places that they care for.

What the role is
Our Policy and Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the implementation of policy and research priorities identified in our annual Business Plan and Policy Development Plan along with the provision of support, research and advice to our Executive Team in relation to relevant policy matters.
What you’ll need to have
We are looking for an individual who has a keen interest in and understanding of Scottish Government, UK and international climate change, environmental and sustainable development policies, strategies and plans. In addition, you will have a background in policy development and/or research and analysis with strong analytical and writing skills.
You will be working closely with our Executive Team the experience of producing high quality briefing papers and written reports is essential as is the ability communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in written form is essential.
An interest in and understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals would be desirable as is previous experience and understanding of charity governance and working with boards or committees.
