About the team

The Strategy Directorate are here to power the organisation providing support services to our delivery teams. The directorate provides support and services to the whole organisation covering HR, Quality, Data Protection, Reporting and Improvement and Development activities alongside our Communications, Marketing and Digital function

About the role

This brand-new role will lead on the implementation of an internal communications strategy, across several channels including email bulletins and meetings, that embeds our organisational strategy and values in a way that keeps staff and volunteers informed, motivated, and aligned. A focus will be on embedding comprehensive communications channels and storytelling processes to ensure our messages are reaching our internal audiences effectively.

You will adopt a business partnering model develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure key information flows across the organisation in a timely, transparent, and efficient manner. A key focus will be on empowering our people to use internal communications tools and channels alongside developing managers in particular to enhance their internal communications skills.

About you

You will have substantive demonstrable experience delivering internal communications, preferably in the non-profit sector. Particularly understanding of the role of internal communications in building and nurturing organisational culture and performance.

You will have experience using content and multiple channels strategically to inform and engage employees and volunteers. You will be an excellent communicator, adept at building relationships, influencing, and advising at all levels, including senior management.

You'll take pride in all you do, with an eye for detail and a creative flair. You'll be used to copywriting, editing, and experience of producing a range of content formats including written, photography and film. Ideally you will have previous experience of putting on all staff events.

Over the coming months we will be looking to offer increased flexibility about where we work, in a hybrid of home and office base depending on the needs of each role.
