Cyrenians OPAL (Older People, Active Lives) aims to maintain or increase older people’s independence and wellbeing across the West Lothian area. The service is delivered by a team of dedicated, trained volunteers who offer encouragement, companionship and support to help engage in social, leisure and community activities.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team, who will be responsible for coordinating the various elements of the service including one-to-one support, group activities and volunteer management. Relationship building with stakeholders is also vital in this role.
The preferred candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook – as well as experienced in the use of database systems. You will be highly organised, have project management experience, able to manage a diverse workload and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
Previous experience of working within the voluntary sector or with older people is essential as is an understanding of Dementia.
OPAL is a prevention service supporting older adults to remain independent at home for as long as they desire. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring that we continue to provide high quality services to older people across the locality area. The workload is varied and no two days will ever be the same!
