An exciting, unique and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to join Liber8 Lanarkshire as a Project Lead. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of a person-centred women’s project in South Lanarkshire.
Role:
This new project will be delivered collaboratively with Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire & East Renfrewshire (WASLER); the project will work with women, children and girls throughout South Lanarkshire and will provide tailored services to fill the existing gap for a distinctive group of women who are, have been or are at risk of being affected by substance use and gender-based violence. The project funded via Scottish Government Equally Safe Fund, will incorporate holistic person-centred integrated pathways, interventions, and opportunities, including:
- specialist 1-1 support provided by WASLER specialists.
- group work.
- wellbeing programmes.
- safe drop in spaces.
- prevention, education, and
- self-development activities.
What we’re looking for
We are looking to attract an enthusiastic Individual that has experience of working within the drug and alcohol field and has previous experience of strategic development, project management and partnership working.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience and be able to demonstrate working effectively at a strategic level
- Have demonstrable skills to influence, persuade and negotiate with stakeholders.
- As well as the ability to manage effective, successful relationships, both internally and externally.
- Have a proactive and dynamic personal style, with flexibility in style and approach
- Will be qualified to Degree relevant or SVQ level 3 in social services & Healthcare.
The successful candidate, will provide strategic and operational project leadership for this new initiative, ensuring a strong and integrated approach. Crucial to the role will be the ability to lead, influence, inspire, motivate and robustly manage a varied programme of activities within four dedicated premises and across the whole system.
The post holder will oversee the day to day running of the project, lead on performance for the team, contribute to the governance and development and ensure there are sufficient resources to deliver the best possible outcomes for the women who use the project.
You will provide management, leadership and coaching to your team making sure the initiative achieves quality and team productivity standards. You'll also need to balance your day-to-day operational responsibilities with meetings and additional project work to make sure all objectives are achieved

Common Wheel is a Glasgow-based charity dedicated to supporting people with mental health issues. Our vision is for individuals to live meaningful, satisfying lives and contribute to society. Role Overview
The Charity Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of Common Wheel, ensuring the effective delivery of programmes, sound financial management, communications as well as contributing to successful fundraising. With an annual income of between £250,000 and £300,000, the charity is at a pivotal stage of growth and impact. The Manager will play a key role in shaping strategy, managing the team, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage a small team of 7-10 staff, a pool of freelance practitioners and a team of volunteers.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organisational culture.
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees to develop and implement strategic plans.
Programme Delivery
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of all programmes and services, such as build-your-own-bike workshops, climbing, art, music and others.
- Ensure programmes align with the charity’s mission and deliver measurable impact to participants.
- Monitor performance and report on outcomes to funders and trustees.
Fundraising & Income Generation
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to sustain and grow income.
- Cultivate relationships with funders, grant-makers, corporate partners, referrers and community supporters.
- Work with our Fundraiser to prepare funding applications and manage grant reporting requirements.
Finance & Governance
- Manage the charity’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance.
- Oversee financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and annual audits, working with our finance manager and treasurer.
- Ensure compliance with charity legal and regulatory requirements.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the charity externally, acting as a spokesperson and champion for Common Wheel when required.

Person Specification
Essential
- Proven experience in charity management or a leadership role in an equivalent organisation.

MHAP is one of the longest-running independent advocacy organisations in Scotland, and we are now recruiting a new team member to help expand our individual and collective advocacy services for people experiencing mental health challenges and/or addiction issues.
We provide advocacy support to adults aged 18–65 who live in West Lothian or are receiving treatment here. Our work takes place in a range of settings, including St John’s Hospital, HMP Addiewell, and various community locations, as well as home visits when required.

About us
Express Group Fife is a well-established mental health charity operating in Fife for almost fifty years. We provide group activities for people over 18 experiencing poor mental health. The aim of the groups is to promote positive mental wellbeing by providing a safe place for sharing experiences and peer support.
There are currently 12 groups across Fife each week, supporting about 150 individuals during the year. Every person’s story is unique, and everyone’s route home is different - it doesn’t matter what the situation is – we’re not here to judge, only to help.
