An exciting position has become available for a Senior Community Link Worker based in our established service in West Lothian.

You will support the service manager and fellow senior in the day to day running of 2 mental health and well-being hubs, based in Bathgate and Livingston. The hubs currently operate Monday-Friday 9-5.

You will be based in one of the Hubs leading a small team of Link Workers and working positively as part of a small MDT including psychology, occupational therapy and mental health nurses.

You will also deliver and support staff to deliver psycho educational groups.

You will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who can provide confidential Counselling services for young people in secondary school settings.

You must hold a recognised diploma in Counselling, already have or be working towards BACP/COSCA/NCPS accreditation (as an individual) and have experience of working with young people in a therapeutic way. You will be a reflective practitioner with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of staff, parents and young people. Referrals come through East Renfrewshire HSCP Healthier Minds hub and you will be expected to counsel a range of vulnerable young people aged 10-18 years who may be experiencing emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties. You will have an understanding of adolescent development, be able to identify emotional and mental health problems in young people and where appropriate refer on to higher tiered mental health services.

You will be required to maintain confidential records, provide regular statistical reports and contribute to the development and evaluation of this project.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to generate financial support for the organisation's programs and initiatives.
• Assist with and develope fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage the community and raise awareness about our cause.
• Create fundraising materials, including grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor communications.
• Attend networking events to promote our mission and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fundraising within the non-profit sector is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in grant writing and crafting compelling fundraising materials.
• Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

The Support Worker will provide a combination of personal care, care at home and housing support to people with dementia in their own homes. The post holder will be part of a dedicated team that will ensure that the highest quality of service is provided.

The Support Worker will work 2 or 3 shifts per week with the flexibility to increase hours to meet the demands of the service. The Support Worker will work day shift, backshift, weekends and nightshift.

We are looking for a unique person who can support people with dementia, living within their own home in a Supported Living Service, personalised to the tenants needs.

Our support workers are our most important people as they provide front line support.

Our support workers help tenants to maintain skills and independence by providing support and care with all aspects of daily living

Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia. You will also have good communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and participate in training is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia is essential.
