This is an exciting time to join Creative Crieff as we embark on the next stage of growth and development. The Strategic & Development Director will play a crucial role in capitalising on opportunities with donors, partners and funders to establish our long term business model. The initial focus will to establish Radio Earn within our community and manage and develop our team – both employees and contractors. This will be the cornerstone of our main project – to build and operate a cinema and community space for Crieff.

About Us

Creative Crieff is an ambitious community-led charity founded in late 2019, set up to improve the lives of young people and the wider community through using music, film and the creative arts as tools for social change. We have already achieved a significant impact with the build and inception of our first deep impact community engagement initiative, Radio Earn and the purchase of a derelict site to deliver our long term vision of a new community space for the community which will incorporate a cinema and the radio station.

Radio Earn is Strathearn’s very first community radio station. The purpose of Radio Earn is to connect Strathearn, Strathallan and beyond with our people, services and activity based the area. It had a soft launch in June 2021 and is already serving as a key driver in reconnecting our community after Covid-19, providing opportunity for skill-building, employability and a ‘third space’ for everyone away from home, work or education. Our station is equipped with professional level equipment and will programme a diverse range of high-quality content. Youth empowerment, youth voice and youth leadership are a key focus of this station, with the leadership team all under the age of 25. We are working for the community, with the community, in partnership with individuals, education providers, service providers, organisations, charities and corporate sponsors. In our station rental unit, we also have a small retail section, selling second-hand vinyl records and music merchandise.

We have recently received substantial funding from Perth and Kinross Council for the demolition and clearance on our derelict site. The successful candidate will be expected to work with the Board of Trustees to develop the new space and build new income streams to enable the facility and charity to thrive going forward.
