Volunteer Scotland are the only national centre for volunteering; we receive funded support from the Scottish Government and others to:
- research, demonstrate and measure the impact made by volunteers
- develop volunteer practice through training and accreditation as well as useful volunteer development tools, policies and guides
- offer a one stop digital gateway to anyone looking for volunteer opportunities
- support organisations to advertise volunteer opportunities and events online
- provide an expert disclosure service for voluntary organisations
- promote and grow volunteering through partners, funders, Government, and policy makers
- work with others to support projects, innovation and creativity in volunteering

As Chief Executive Officer, you will provide overall leadership of Volunteer Scotland, defining the vision, values and long-term strategy and ensuring good governance, effective management, operational delivery and high levels of performance. You will be responsible for representing Volunteer Scotland at the most senior and strategic level whilst delivering an effective executive partnership with the Leadership Team who play a key supporting role in the business, and lead strategy, development and delivery across all areas.
You will be educated to degree level or have relevant professional experience at a strategic and senior level and proven extensive leadership experience with the ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally.

The Role of CEO:
In 2026, as EFCT celebrates its milestone 25th event and welcomes its 1,000,000th visitor, the organisation is looking to the future and seeking a visionary Chief Executive to lead its next chapter.
The new CEO will work in close partnership with the Board of Trustees to steer the long-term strategic direction of the charity, ensuring the continued success, sustainability and creative evolution of its flagship event. They will safeguard the Trust’s financial health, uphold best-practice governance, and provide strong, values-led leadership to the operations, creative, and production teams. As the public ambassador for EFCT, the CEO will build and nurture key relationships with partners, funders, local authorities, media, and the wider community—protecting the reputation of the event and amplifying its impact.
The CEO will also oversee the Trust’s community grant-giving programme, ensuring that the surplus generated by the event continues to benefit organisations across Highland Perthshire in meaningful and impactful ways. With responsibility for strategic planning, financial management, operational delivery, risk oversight and compliance, they will ensure that the Trust continues to operate transparently, ethically, and sustainably.
Candidates will bring proven senior leadership experience, ideally gained in a creative, cultural, events, charity or tourism environment. They will have successfully led organisations through development and change, managed complex operational programmes, and implemented financially sound, future-focused strategies. A strong communicator and relationship-builder, they will demonstrate high emotional intelligence, commercial acumen, and an ability to inspire multidisciplinary teams. Importantly, they will share a genuine passion for the mission, community benefit, and unique magic that The Enchanted Forest brings to Highland Perthshire every year.

Outreach Worker and Cycle Trainer

About Us
Recyke-a-bike (part of Fallin Community Enterprises) has been in operation since 2005. We began as a small recycling social enterprise that quickly grew into a job club, using bike recycling as work experience for our members. Over the years we’ve seen a lot of growth and now offer training services and cycling outreach work, in addition to our bike recycling and sales through our well stocked and modestly priced shop.
Purpose
To support the delivery of the Bikeability programme in partnership with Cycling Scotland and Stirling and Clackmannanshire local authorities. The Outreach Worker and Cycle Trainer will also support the delivery of all cycling-based activities delivered by Recyke-a-bike.
Responsibilities
Main:
- Delivery of Bikeability Training to Children.
- Delivery of Adult Cycle Training.
- Maintenance of bikes and equipment for each of the following fleets: Stirling, Clackmannanshire, EBike, Practical Cycle Awareness Training (PCAT) and Adult Cycle Training Fleets.
- Managing health and safety within area of responsibility.
- Carrying out risk assessments for Bikeability sessions.
- Planning, risk assessing and delivering other cycle related sessions, events and activities.
- External liason with third parties including schools, local councils, community groups and organisations, as well as charities and businesses.
- Attending team meetings.
- Attending continuous professional development (CPD) training.
Additional:
- Building bikes for the shop when not busy.
- Collecting bike donations for the shop.
- Deliver Doctor Bike services across the Forth Valley when required.
- Assisting other departments where needed.

Join the Why Not? Trust team as a Community and Engagement Team Member – Thinking Space. Due to further development, we are now offering a second full-time appointment.
Thinking Space is a unique initiative funded by The Henry Smith Foundation, designed to support care-experienced young people across Scotland. Underpinned by Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) principles, Thinking Space uses mapping techniques to help young people explore their past, understand how previous experiences and relationships influence their present circumstances, and consider the potential impact on their future.
This confidential and safe environment enables participants to develop positive coping strategies and build resilience. Following your induction and initial training, you will work directly with care-experienced young people in specific locations, offering them the opportunity to reflect on how past relationships may have shaped their sense of self, decision-making, and ability to form new connections. You will also support them in exploring learned coping mechanisms and adopting healthier alternatives.
As part of The Why Not? Team, you will have access to ongoing support and professional development opportunities to enhance your practice and impact. This role will be line managed by the Why Not Trust, Operational Lead. A UK driving license is required for this role. A secondment will be explored if requested.
