About the role

Our Senior Finance Manager (SFM) has responsibility to think and plan strategically, while overseeing operationally. They lead our Finance team to ensure our financial efficiency by developing and managing processes, systems and reports, and by providing guidance to colleagues at all levels of the organisation. This includes:

  • Financial controls for income, expenditure and balance sheets
  • Timely and accurate taxation and statutory returns
  • Payroll and pension processing
  • Bank and cash management and investment recommendations

About you

You’ll be an experienced accountant who welcomes the opportunity to work in an organisation which provides a diverse range of services, which are similarly diversely-funded! This means you’ll be comfortable managing multiple income streams, and preparing budgets and management accounts.

You’ll also have the opportunity to use your excellent communication skills to build relationships with colleagues at all levels across Cyrenians which support them in their own financial planning and reporting.

Support

You’ll be welcomed by our outgoing SFM, and will report to our Director of Corporate Services. They’ll ensure a comprehensive handover to give you the best start with us.

You will lead an enthusiastic, knowledgeable team of staff, and join a multi-faceted senior management team. You’ll also have access to wider Cyrenians support, including our learning and development programme, and staff wellbeing services.
