Express Group Fife is a well-established mental health charity operating in Fife for almost fifty years. We provide group activities for people over 18 experiencing poor mental health. The aim of the groups is to promote positive mental wellbeing by providing a safe place for sharing experiences and peer support.

There are currently 12 groups across Fife each week, supporting about 150 individuals during the year. Every person’s story is unique, and everyone’s route home is different - it doesn’t matter what the situation is – we’re not here to judge, only to help.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join experienced and dedicated team of staff and volunteers working together to make a difference to people’s lives and create real community impact.

As well as leading the team, the Service Manager will contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the charity, ensuring all services are delivered to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operational management
• Staff and volunteer management
• Finance, fundraising and accountability
• Monitoring and evaluation
• Communication, marketing and promotion
• Proactive development of the service to meet the needs of service users in line with current mental health strategies in Fife

You will be a strong leader who has gained experience in third sector not for profit organisation. We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Midlothian Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Team. This post is funded by Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership.

We have an exciting leadership opportunity to join our South Services team as the Team Leader for the Scottish Borders Community Mental Health Team and the Midlothian Recovery and Justice Team. Within this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day delivery of our community mental health and wellbeing services.

You should have experience in; leading and managing services, staff leadership and development, supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing, working as part of a team, meeting funding targets, data analysis and reporting.

Established in 2018, Moray Rape Crisis provides therapeutic support, information and advocacy for adults and young people of all genders, aged 11 and over, in the Moray area, who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. We also work directly with young people in schools and youth settings, and with strategic partners, towards preventing sexual violence.

MHAP is one of the longest-running independent advocacy organisations in Scotland, and we are now recruiting a new team member to help expand our individual and collective advocacy services for people experiencing mental health challenges and/or addiction issues.

We provide advocacy support to adults aged 18–65 who live in West Lothian or are receiving treatment here. Our work takes place in a range of settings, including St John’s Hospital, HMP Addiewell, and various community locations, as well as home visits when required.

Individual advocacy involves working alongside people on a one-to-one basis to ensure their voices are heard and respected. We support individuals to understand their rights, make informed decisions, and have meaningful influence over matters that affect their lives.

Collective advocacy involves working with groups of people with lived experience to explore shared concerns, identify common themes, and influence service development, policy, and decision-making at a wider level.

This is a varied and rewarding role that can make a real difference in the lives of people who may otherwise be marginalised.
