Role

With your mental health at heart.

We have an exciting opportunity for people to join our Midlothian Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Team.

We are looking for a part-time (18 hours) peer support worker. The particular focus for this role is to develop creative and innovative ways to reach out to the people from minority ethnic communities in Midlothian who are most isolated and vulnerable within their community, ensuring people get the help and support they need. You will work in a person centered and strength-based way. One-to-one support and groups will be delivered in various community venues across Midlothian or on video platforms such as Zoom.

All staff work in a blended way with access to an office base, various community venues, and homeworking. Travel is required across Midlothian. Flexibility in working hours will also be expected to meet the needs of people we support.
