Operations Manager

  • Salary depending on experience and qualifications. 35 hours per week with flexible working from home and some office based meetings. Hours of work will be 9am-4.30pm, Monday-Friday.

Role

Established in 2004, Break the Silence is a registered charity with the purpose of making a profound and positive difference in the lives of those affected by childhood sexual trauma. We deliver professional counselling, supporting people of all genders, age 13+ resident in East and North Ayrshire.

To ensure the smooth, efficient and effective operation of all Break the Silence services and projects, adhering to contract and funder terms and conditions and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory bodies.

Key Duties

  • Development of key performance metrics/indicators and regular review, reporting and evaluation of performance of services, contracts and activities
  • Oversee, monitor and report on clinical capacity vs. demand for services
  • Production of statistics/reports for contract, funder, management, and other reporting purposes
  • Ensure statutory compliance with relevant bodies and adherence to organisational policies/processes across the services/activities
  • Oversee subject access requests, and service complaint handling
  • Supervise training delivery and associated administration arrangements including evaluation/feedback - external and internal
  • Assist with income generation planning
  • Line management and leadership of the Client Liaison Team (currently 1 FT, 1PT)

Skills

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • IT literate, Microsoft Office, experience of data management beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self motivated, positive and energetic
  • Have an understanding of 3rd sector
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches advantageous
  • Experience of income generation/funding applications advantageous

This role is key to the delivery of the objectives of Break the Silence. The role will initially be offered for a period of 12months with planned extension subject to funding. The successful applicant will be required to undertake disclosure check due to the nature of our work. All roles at Break the Silence are subject to a 3 month probationary period.
