Stirling Carers Centre (SCC) is a well-regarded and successful charitable organisation providing tailored information, advice, and emotional and practical support to young people and adults who look after a relative or friend who, due to illness, disability, mental health conditions or addiction, could not manage without their help.
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic person to join our Adult Carers Support Service. The role will involve supporting Adult Carers by providing one to one support, undertaking assessments for Adult Carer Support Plans, benefits checks, form filling and supporting the facilitation of and attending events for Adult Carers. The role will include partnership working with a diverse range of agencies, including health and social care services.
The Adult Carers Support Service works closely with our triage service providing information on services to unpaid Adult Carers. We are a strong, dynamic team looking for someone who can demonstrate both a commitment to team working and also an ability to work independently using their own initiative.
Experience of using a case management database is desirable for this position, however attention to detail and ability to learn quickly and work accurately to deadlines are essential. The role involves regular contact with Carers who may be in difficult or crisis situations, and so an empathetic nature and the ability to listen are key to this role.
